⏱️ The One-Day Entryway: 12–14 Foot Cascading Stream
This featured project demonstrates how a professional pitless system can completely transform a home’s entrance in a single work session. We took a flat, standard entryway and engineered a multi-tiered 12–14 foot stream that looks like it has been part of the landscape for decades.
🏗️ Build Highlights
-
Single-Day Completion: As highlighted in our step-by-step process, this entire feature—from excavation to the final “power on”—was completed in just one day.
-
On-Site Material Sourcing: To ensure a perfect aesthetic match with the existing property, we utilized boulders found directly on the homeowner’s land. This approach creates an “instant-aged” look that blends seamlessly with the environment.
-
Custom Grade Engineering: Because the site started as flat ground, we brought in clean fill to create the necessary elevation. This allowed us to build a rugged retaining wall and a vertical drop that maximizes the sound and visual of the water.
💧 Design & Flow
-
Triple-Drop Cascade: The stream is designed with three distinct drops, creating a rich, layered splashing effect. This “split” flow ensures the water feature is visible and audible from multiple angles of the entryway.
-
High-Efficiency Circulation: The system utilizes a specialized reservoir tank that keeps the water cycling cleanly through the 12–14 foot run.
-
Integrated Maintenance Specs: As per our standard builds, this system includes internal debris baskets. These catch leaves and organic matter from the surrounding landscaping, keeping the reservoir clear and the pump protected without the need for a traditional rock-filled pit.
