This was a multi-day install on the site of a previously existing pond that was constantly being filled with debris from the landscaping. The advantage of the pitless system is that all that debris is going to end up in the easy to clean basket.
On the first day, we ripped out the old pond (a muddy mess), we got the tank in place, we dug the water course, we put in three yards of pea gravel and six yards of topsoil. On the second day, we set the boulders, working from the top to the bottom, and completed the rest of the installation.
